Our first 2 weeks...
After a solid 2 weeks in Adelaide, it is safe to say that we are now officially experts of the public transport system. We have already missed more buses, trams and trains than in our combined 50 plus years.
Tomorrow we embark on our second tour of the city through "The Hills" This is the continuation of our previous City Tour, which was led by a tour guide about as exciting as Ben Stein. In between his regularly scheduled naps, we were informed that Adelaide was designed as a square mile by Col. Light approximately 8 times. What was slightly more depressing was the fact that we might have made the lap around the City approximately 9 times. On a serious note, some trip highlights included lunch at the Adelaide Botanic Gardens and our stop at the beach Glenelg where Erin and I would later return to celebrate birthday/anniversary weekend.
In other related news, I have still not seen a koala. Very disappointing, I know. Erin claims to have seen visual evidence of their existence, but I have yet to see one with my own eyes. I have heard noises that are reported to be koala growling, but this is the closest I've gotten. Definitely no kanagaroos yet either. The most excitement that I've seen in the wildlife world are big spiders that have made themselves comfortable inside our hosts home. Fortunately they are of the "friendly" variety.
Stay tuned...

Thanks bro... I know it will take some commitment to keep this blog updated, but we will definitely enjoy hearing about your adventures. Rachel and I can relate to the dry tour guide routine on our house-hunting tour in Brazil. Our guy just seemed proud to be speaking English... "Look! A tree!!" "Look! A dog!!". These make for fun memories.
